Privacy Policy

The short version The text you read and the audio you hear never leave your Mac — the app converts text to speech entirely on-device. The only data we handle is the minimum needed to sell you a subscription and deliver your license: your email, your payment (through Paddle), and a one-way hashed machine ID for licensing. We never sell your data.

Your content stays on your Mac

When you press your shortcut, Listn Flow reads the text under your pointer using macOS Accessibility, converts it to speech on your device using a bundled on-device neural voice, and plays it. That text and audio are used only to generate sound, in memory, and are never stored, logged, or transmitted. The app works with your internet disconnected.

The only network calls the app makes

To enforce your subscription, the app makes a small licensing check to listnflow.com when you activate and periodically thereafter. It sends only:

your license key, and
a machine fingerprint — a one-way SHA-256 hash of your Mac's hardware ID (it can't be reversed to identify your device), used to count how many Macs a subscription is active on (up to 3).

No text you read, no audio, and no usage of the app is ever included in these calls.

Information we collect

Email address — when you join the waitlist or subscribe, so we can deliver your license key and important account emails. Transactional emails are sent via Resend.
Payment information — handled entirely by Paddle, our payment provider and Merchant of Record. We never see or store your full card details; Paddle shares with us only what's needed to manage your subscription (e.g. your email and subscription status).
License & machine records — your license key, subscription status, and the hashed machine IDs you've activated, so licensing works and the seat limit is enforced.

How we use it

Only to run the service: deliver and validate your license, process payments and renewals, provide support, and email you about your subscription. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.

Sharing

We share data only with the processors that make the product work: Paddle (payments/tax, as Merchant of Record) and Resend (sending your emails). Each handles data under its own privacy policy. We may disclose information if required by law.

Permissions the app requests, and why

Accessibility — required to read the text you point at. This is the core of how the app works.
Input Monitoring — so your reading shortcut works system-wide. The app only checks for that specific shortcut; it does not record what you type.

Data retention & your rights

We keep your email and license records for as long as your subscription is active and as needed for legal and accounting purposes. You can request access to, or deletion of, your data by emailing us. Payment records are retained by Paddle per their policy.

Children's privacy

Listn Flow is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
